I am not going to lie….I woke up with a minor hangover. Like I said, I am a lightweight. Now, it’s also due to the excitement of the Reunion coursing through my veins that sets off this set of headaches into motion that usually can be weened off by Excederin and rest. Luckily, everything worked, I felt fine, and Mom and I headed off to garage sales in the Green Bay area after I blogged this morning about my amazing day yesterday.
After finding a couple of treasures, Mom scared me a bit with indigestion and heart burn…but the way she was in pain, I feared she was having a heart attack. I took her home to rest for awhile and had Bob keep an eye on her while I ran other errands. I headed to Appleton, another place I called home for 12 years, and met up with my dear friend, Shanna, for her radiation appointment. It was important to me that she knew that she had my love and support during this difficult chapter in her life, and it made it even special that she could have Walter come in with her.
We then headed to one of my FAVORITE spots in town, “Hu Hot.” I love this Mongolian grill and it always tastes amazing! We chatted over lunch, laughing so hard over and over again, and it felt so good to connect with her and love on her sweet soul. We hugged out our goodbyes and I headed around town for a bit, but opted to head back to Green Bay early for a nap.
The rest of the day was relaxing, napping, and just taking a small breather before my evening plans. I was meeting up with dear friends, Corey and Andrea Long. I have known these two since Campus Life, a Christian fellowship club for high school teens to hang out and grow in. These ALWAYS make me laugh, feel good, and continue to make me feel loved. We met up at the new “Dave and Busters” in Green Bay and I filled them in on life and this adventure, and they filled me in on theirs. 3 hours later, 2 drinks, we then finally perused the game floor – even if for just a look and pics. It was an amazing night of good food, good friends, and good memories.
I am blessed with the people I have in my life….and I promise you, I will NEVER take that fact for granted. Another day on the books, and another night I go to bed exhausted. Tired, but a good tired, no better kind. Love your faces, see you tomorrow.
Thank you for your support!!
I LOVE sharing the joy of Adventure, and Travel! Every dollar you support me with goes right back into my mission for equipment, gas, and essentials. But most importantly, when you support me financially it tells me you BELIEVE in me and MY VALUE, and that means more to me than ANYTHING! So THANK YOU for YOU!!
