After a slow start to my Sunday morning, I packed up my car, made my protein shake, and said goodbye to Kim. Thankfully only a 2 hour drive to Dad’s house in Door County, I enjoyed the drive, the sunshine, and passing by Sheboygan Falls, where I grew up.
It was Father’s Day! I have been blessed to see my Dad two years in a row on this celebratory day, and that means a lot to me because life goes by so fast, and I want to feel good that I did as much with my family as I could. Dad greeted me with a big bear hug, and we headed out for brunch, my treat of course, to one of the local diners here in Sturgeon Bay. We had the Father’s Day Buffet- can’t beat unlimited hash browns and bacon!
We then did our drive up the Peninsula, stopping at my favorite Confectionary for my “Woody Wheels” aka licorice wheels, and I also picked up another sticker for my suitcase. It was a beautiful day, only in the 70s here, and we chatted the entire time as we drove around.
Moments of Kindness: Tipped big at the Brunch, spread kindness at the Olive Oil Store, treated Dad, bought Dad Olive Oil, he made me dinner and Igifted him items from Kennedy Space Center and Disney World.
The rest of the day was more bonding with Dad, laughing about childhood silliness, and just enjoying each other’s company- it was awesome. There’s something about being around family and being just relaxed and not “on” that feels SO GOOD and I appreciated the peace. Dad made dinner since I had treated for brunch, and it was REALLY good! I’m now tucked away for the evening, and I am happy to say another day checked off. See you tomorrow and Happy Father’s Day to all Dad’s today. 😊 I love you Dad!!!
Thank you for your kindness!!!
I LOVE sharing the joy of Adventure, and Travel! Every dollar you support me with goes right back into my mission for equipment, gas, and essentials. But most importantly, when you support me financially it tells me you BELIEVE in me and MY VALUE, and that means more to me than ANYTHING! So THANK YOU for YOU!!
