Arriving to the Magic Kingdom at 9:30 a.m. this morning, I had something on my “to do” list that I was pretty excited about- meeting the “Long Lost Friends” that are only there THIS week. I saw the lines in the hub area, but I couldn’t find for the life of me find where “Dr Facilier” and “Louis” were stationed from the film “The Princess and the Frog.” After asking many Cast Members, who also had no idea, I finally found them located on the right of Exposition Hall, tucked back in the corner of the exit of the Mickey and Princess Meet and Greets. I got in line and with a quick hello, hug, and a couple of pics- I was in and out in about 5 minutes. The rest are easy to find, they are in the hub and also in front of the Exposition Hall- WHY Disney chose to keep the other set out of the “line of sight” is beyond me.
They are out all day from 9-4, with breaks of 10 minutes. So don’t be despaired, they are in and out pretty quickly. By the time I got in line for Chicken Little and Abby Mallard, located in the hub, they had already been gone for 5 minutes, so they were out and greeting guests quite quickly. The line was so short, I was actually pretty shocked it was. I had been in these lines this past January to meet Robin Hood and the gang with my family, and I remember the line being crazy long and how hot we were waiting for them. Completely different experience this time. I met them within 5 minutes of them coming back out, but I have to say to watch the time of day when you meet them. My pic with them came out darker because of the direction of the sun, which you can’t do anything about- just stay mindful of it.
Right after them I got in line for the Brer Bear, Brer Rabbit, and Brer Fox. Now, I have to say that I didn’t think this was a “Long Lost Friends” bill since they used to be found near Splash Mountain for several years, but for many they haven’t met them so there ya go. They were located right in front of the Exposition Hall, also where you can find Goofy’s statue sitting on a bench. Again, it went quickly and they were, of course, awesome.
I didn’t go for Robin Hood (located on the other side of Chicken Little in the hub) and his merry men for a couple of reasons. One, already saw them and two, the crowds were coming in and I wanted to go enjoy the rest of the Park for awhile before it got crazy busy. But I saw their line, and it wasn’t long at all. So head to the Magic Kingdom and get some great Character pics while they are here for a limited time only. Have fun- I did!
