Probably the smallest store I have ever visited, the Covent Garden Disney Store is unique. It is one of the very few stores to retain the old”character” style, but there is a reason for this. The store is in the heart of London’s West End, “Theatreland”. Like the Oxford Street store, it is uniquely British, with a mural behind the cash registers depicting the Mickey and Friends characters putting on a production of J M Barrie’s Peter Pan. A truly fitting theme for Theatreland, and definitely British. The original play was first performed not very far from the store, and it is a nod to Brit J M Barrie and his story which featured characters from London.
Like the Oxford Street Store, this store features a selection of London merchandise, but not as much simply because of its small size.
If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth stopping by!
