What We Have Accomplished Since We Got Here

We have been here roughly 2 months now, and all I can say is, WOW- what a ride! When I was at home, planning out what our home would look like, where we would go, who we would meet- I never thought in my wildest dreams I would have experienced what I have in these past short months.  When you look at a dream you have had for so long, and it comes true, Rapunzel is right, you have to find a new dream. Well my new dream is to live life to the fullest every day I am here- to experience every breath as a gift.  I am not here to mope or worry, although it happens time to time because I am human, but to soak every ray of sunshine in.  We are truly living the dream and it is AMAZING!!

Looking back, some of my favorite blog posts were about what I was looking forward to most when I got here. Since I haven’t made a list in some time, I thought today was a great day to do so. I, and my family, are truly blessed to have gotten to know each and every one of you in these short months. You will never know what peace and warmth you have brought to our lives, and we thank you sincerely for it.  I am incredibly excited of what is to come over the next few weeks, months, and years.  I am on pins and needles for the many of you yet to come and meet up, and I cannot wait to make more memories.   To infinity, and beyond!

  1. Love this list! It’s so very exciting, what a fantasit two months you’ve had! I hope to have a similar list in the not-so-distant future.

Yesterday I was browsing the Disney site, and was thisclose to booking a Disney trip for February. Then my mother (the voice of reason) said, “wouldn’t it be better to put the trip money towards our move to get there quicker?” Well of course it would, but I was just thinking I need a vacation immediately. But after she said that, I thought “and the sooner I can be like Amy, and enjoying Disney regularly”. You are such an inspiration!

Keep the posts coming, and keep making that list longer and longer…you are living the dream, blazing the trail for many of us. 🙂

  2. That certainly is not bragging….but I’m still jealous. I’m glad you were able to leave the Frozen Tundra of Wisconsin and move to sunny Florida…as a current resident of Wisconsin…again…I’m jealous.

Keep doing this though and you may have some new neighbors. LOL

  3. Love the list! And it is amazing and wonderful, isn’t it? On July 29th, we celebrated 1 year in our FL home. We sat on our “caged lanai” (two words I never thought I’d ever use, aka “screened porch”) and had a lovely glass of wine. We toasted to God’s blessings that brought us to this lovely place. I think I know exactly how you feel. 🙂

  4. Congrats to you & your family! That list is quite amazing, and it’s so wonderful to see how happy you are in your decision after such a short time. I’m most intrigued by the Celebration school… I just finished reading a book about the town and I’m so interested in what it has become in the 12 years since the book has been published! I’ve only just jumped onto your journey and haven’t commented yet, but I love your blog and I can’t wait to keep reading! Have a happy weekend!

  5. You have not wasted any time jumping right in on all the fun! 🙂 Love it!

p.s. I grew up in Maitland and when you are ready for some Non Disney Area fun in the FL sun, toss me an email and I’ll let you know all of my favorite stomps growing up. 🙂
